Geometric Grace Meets High-Craft Construction
From the Artists:

“Years ago, while walking through an antique store, my eye was caught by an unusual object - an 8" cube of interconnected squares. To this day, nobody is sure what it was exactly, or what it was intended to represent, but this funny little trinket inspired me to share my discovery with Gary. As we began experimenting with similar shapes and circles, it reminded me of my past in mathematical drafting and formulaic engineering.”

“Once this sculpture was named TimeSquare, it motivated me to think back to my years living in New York. As New York was to me, in those days and always, the art represents the chaotic grid-like structure of the city. The building block streets, the gridwork of getting from point A to point B. But amid all that chaos and structure is the beauty of so many cultures and colors converging. Art is everywhere, even in the most unexpected places. And like the actual location in New York, TimeSquare is the most obvious and identifiable location in New York where amazing art happens every day.”
