“The idea to curve Luminux shapes came to me when creating Luminux’s commissioned 50' diameter ceiling sculpture, AVIAN IN FLIGHT, in the Fayetteville Airport atrium. That installation inspired me to innovate a fluid mobile that floats mid-air, similarly to the AVIAN public art sculpture. Luminux panels give way easily to the influence of the roller, while the wood substructure is a bit more stubborn, yet in spite of the challenge, the two materials marry beautifully.”
